Sunshine is finally here! And I keep on getting distracted by the glorious weather and all the plans I am hatching for my future, whilst these lovely images languished in my hard-drive. The creator and light-smith extraordinaire is photographer Celine Chaplin, who orchestrated this lavish wedding inspiration shoot in the lush gardens of a country house. We were spoilt for choice with settings, as there was the garden, a field, orchard and forest to play in.
Our lovely model Joanna had such great vibe, the inspiration was 70’s, bohemian, festival wedding, and she captured the feeling perfectly.
I created three main looks, the first was a very natural and fresh with wild curls with a centre parting – a bit hippy and wild. The second look was still natural, but I tamed the curls and added a defined, winged crease as a nod to the sixties.
The third look was more dramatic and bohemian, with smoky eyes in shades of brown and gold, and hair twisted up in twenties fashion. Its a little bit BIBA, who also used vintage inspiration.
Joanna also modelled her Mother-in-law’s dress, which was purchased at John Lewis in the 70’s. She looks like an angel, ready to take flight into the light.

PS: I am super exited to share with you that our shoot was featured on Whimsical Wonderland weddings, and you can see the rest of the images on there.
